Hi, everyone. Welcome, and thank you for joining us at Golf Cart Garage dot com. Today on GCGTV, we’re taking a closer look at securing your golf cart from being stolen using The Club pedal and wheel lock anti theft device. Of course, if you own a tv, you’re probably already familiar with this product to some extent. But, we wanted to take one out of the box and get more detail than some stock photos on the internet can show us. You may already know this product as a theft deterrent for cars and trucks.
But, it’s also a great way to secure your cart. The most frequently stolen golf cart related items are chargers, drinks from the cooler when you’re on the course, and the cart itself. So, let’s get that cart secured with the Club!
The idea here is to hook the red fixed end of the club to the arm of your gas or brake pedal. You then extend the black hook, attach it to your steering wheel.
Once you’re certain the club has been restored to the best length to secure the pedal from being depressed or the wheel from being turned, you can use the included keys to lock the device in place, therefore disabling the cart from being operated.
Now, no one is getting away with your cart unless they bring some real muscle along to carry it away. They would have to want your cart pretty badly to pull of this caper. Now, you just need a secure place to keep the club when it’s not in use. If your life is anything like mine… your anti theft device is just as likely to be stolen as what you protect with it.
This accessory serves a great functional purpose. At some point, we’ll get together and look at ordering a new steering wheel for your cart as well, in case you want a really nice looking spot to attach this club to… but that’s another episode for another day.
